Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 9:01AM Hittin' the road! Me and Chad made a couple trips recently, of differing lengths, but both resulted in about 30mins of chatting. So in the mighty nerd manner, I slapped them together to form this singular episode. I apologize for the audio quality a little less than our normal *crystal clear* sound :-P
In Part 1: Chad and I are heading to a local sale for some 50% off goodness, there was a recording of the trip back which was some good conversation, but was lost to the ether on my iPod.
In Part 2: We are on our way to CGS Super Show 2010! And we recoded for a bit while waiting to pick some people up at a train station, you might be familiar with these guys .
Also we participated in an episode of Comic Timing at the Super Show, if you want to follow our continuity. We also got a few episodes in the can which I will be putting out over the next week or so, including our Wrap-up or Super Show and some good convo, and our special Free Podcast Day Special!
Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 8:07PM For Comics shipping 04/28/10, another HUGE week. 3 Superman Books, 4 Siege Tie-ins, 2 Hulk Books. Making this late, I've already read a few of them.
Action Comics #889 - Final Issue issue of Nightwing and Flamebird in this book, I enjoyed it but happy to see it go, This is also my final issue, switching to trades on this book.
Amazing Spider-Man #629 - Finishing the...ok...Juggernaut/Captain Universe story. Its kind of a weird fit for this story right in the middle of "The Gauntlet" which has been great. Just happy to have lizard come back next week.
Fall Of Hulks Red Hulk #4 (OF 4) - Been enjoying the side Hulk Books almost as much as the the regular ones. This series has been explaining a lot of stuff throughout the Hulk storyline, and has been really fun and interesting. But Glad for the Fall to finish, so the War can begin
Fantastic Four #578 - [dcbs] I love this book...moving on
Green Lantern Corps #47 - I actually read this issue, just as after Sinestro Corps, Tomasi wraps Blackest Night up pretty nicely for the Corps, with a lot of great personal moments for a lot of the corps members. And a nice splash at the end giving a sneak preview of GL: Emerald Warriors, the new ongoing, which I was ready to write off, but this teaser has me super interested now....damn you!
Invincible #71 - [dcbs] A beginning, whats this doing here? Viltrumite War Starts here!
Invincible Iron Man #25 - [dcbs] So hard not to buy in the store, with the ending last month I'm dieing to read this.
Mighty Avengers #36 - FINAL ISSUE. Another issue I read already, and damn! This book goes out with bang, though it does give away a part of Siege #4 early, and ties-in with Thunderbolts, which I found a little confusing. But it wraps up Pym's escapades pretty well. Sad to see this book go, Slott had a lot of fun, and so did I.
New Avengers #64 - FINAL ISSUE. No real idea what to expect from this issue, not sure what they can do to finish since Siege isn't over and Finale is ahead. But I am geared up for New Avengers: Finale with Bryan Hitch, its gonna be pretty.
Siege Secret Warriors #1 - Hopefully this will be the best of these One-Shots, The ones I've read besides Loki, have been underwhelming.

Superman #699 - Moving right along in the Fall of New Krypton, was good fun. And also my last issue of this series before JMS starts. I enjoyed this issue, but they point out Mon-Els story doesn't end here. Still have one more part of "Man of Valor" left in Adventure Comics....geez I'm getting sick of jumping around.
Superman Last Stand Of New Krypton #3 (OF 3) - The final page of this series was kind of expected, but resolved itself pretty well, makes Zod kind of a badass, doesn't put Kandor back in the bottle (yet). Has a couple "Oh Shit" pages for sure.
Thor #609 - [dcbs] Siege tie-in, honestly no idea what to expect from this issue, just going till Fraction starts. Then its to the Trade.
Wonder Woman #43 - I'm back on this book till #600, WW hanging with the GLs, I'm down.
World War Hulks Hulked Out Heroes Wwhs #2 - I'm a glutton for Hulks right now. Haven't read either issue of this mini.
X-Force #26 - [dcbs] Second Coming rages on, can't wait to read this month of X-books all at once.

Action Comics #888 - Greg Rucka's run is coming to a close, and surprisingly not apart of "Last Stand of New Krypton" I've enjoyed most of it so far, but this last arc has been a little slow for me. The News that Paul Cornell will be the new writer makes me happy.
Adventure Comics #10 - This book is part of "Last Stand" and I'm expecting more on Brainiac 5 and the Legion which is my favorite part of this story.
Booster Gold #31 - With Jurgens's run coming to and end, I've decided to get this and get the few issues I missed to finish it out.
Brightest Day #0 - [dcbs] This is the big interesting thing after Blackest Night is now over. Looks to be more 52 than Countdown. Will be interesting to see how this book will play with GL issues coming up and how intertwined they will be.
Flash #1 - [dcbs] Very Excited for this book, I loooove Manupul's art and for that reason after this issue (to get my ring) I think I will be getting it in trade or hardcover
Iron Man Legacy #1 - [dcbs] If this turns out to be really good, will be a trade buy. The idea sounded interesting and I like Van Lente's writing. Otherwise I can't justify another Iron Man book.
Life & Times Of Scrooge Mcduck Hc Vol 02 - [dcbs] Still haven't finished reading the first one :-) But it was fun so far, my only wish is that the whole thing was in one big book...
New Mutants #12 - [dcbs] I'm soo behind on my X-Books, but I can't wait to sit down and read a bunch of these at once.
Power Girl A New Beginning Tp - I really liked this series, and own these issues. But I'm trying to get rid of them and get this series in trade, which I want to do with a lot of recently started series.
Siege Captain America #1, Siege Loki #1, Siege Young Avengers #1 - I'm getting these because I'm a glutton and for the most part written by good people and I don't know if the stories will be worth putting in my eventual HC for Avengers or any other series.
Tom Strong Deluxe Ed Hc Book 02 - Not sure if I'm getting this today, but eventually. Its Alan Moore super-science goodness. I loved the first volume and love this Deluxe format.
World War Hulks Hulked Out Heroes #1 - Wasn't gonna get it originally but ALL the hulk stuff has been fun and entertaining so far, and a preview sold me on this.
My poor poor wallet. Now off to the comic store!

For my in-store stuff its a pretty light week. Almost all of the books this week I will be getting at the end of the month. A lot of great 2nd tier books after last weeks blockbuster Blackest Night #8, a bit of a breather week.
Batman And Robin #11 - [dcbs] Been enjoying this book, but with Bruce Wayne returning I wonder what its fate will be.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer #34 - [dcbs] Hoping that Season 8 is wrapping up soon, been enjoying it but its been going for a long time. If this started today I probably would have Waited for the Trade
Flash Secret Files And Origins 2010 #1 - [dcbs] I love Francis Manipul's art can't wait to get a little preview, still not sure how I'm gonna get this series yet, monthly or tpb.
Invincible Returns #1 - [dcbs] Book has been consistently good, its gearing up for a bit story in the making for almost the entire run of this book.
Red Robin #11 - [dcbs] This has been ok for me, but I can't wait for it to be over for me. Only one more issue, I'm about to do a huge Batman purge. Detective lost me, Streets of Gotham has been slow, and I don't like Tony Daniel, B&R will be it for as long as it lasts.
S.H.I.E.L.D. #1 - [dcbs] My most anticipated book, I love Hickman, the art looks great. Plus I just wanna see how Leonardo Divinci and other dudes turned away Galactus back in the day.
Superman Last Stand Of New Krypton #2 (OF 3) - Been enjoying since New Krypton, and that trend continues. Nice to see Kal back in the Superman costume beatin on Braniac again, and seeing all the characters come together.
Superman Secret Origin #5 (OF 6) - [dcbs] Awesome so far just awesome, some good fun storytelling, butting interesting wrinkles in Superman's beginnings.
Uncanny X-Men #523 - [dcbs] I'm soo behind on my reading, when my shipment does get here I got the end of Necrosha, and the beginning of Second Coming. X-men going crazy! Been so far I hope this event keeps the momentum going.
World War Hulks #1 - Decided to get this at the last minute. Hulks have been fun, I hope this book is worth it. Looks to be a book filling in the cracks of the larger story.

Captain America: Winter Soldier - Ultimate Collection - [dcbs] Can't wait till it gets here, been reading since 23, and that Omnibus is hard to find. Finally get to read all the issues I missed.
Cloak And Dagger #1 - [dcbs] Not sure what to expect from this its just a one-shot, hope its good.
Detective Comics #863 - [dcbs] My last issue of this series, and sadly the last we'll probably see of BatWoman for a while.
Fantastic Four #577 - [dcbs] Can't wait, loving the run so far.
God Of War #1 (OF 6) - [dcbs] I like the games a whole bunch, got this on a whim
New Mutants #11 - [dcbs] I'm getting this series till at least the end of Second Coming, its been fun but don't know if I will continue after.
Wonder Woman #42 - Just got caught up on this book, with Simone's run ending I jumped on till the finish.
X-Force #25 - [dcbs] end of Necrosha. X-Force is possibly the best X-book out right now, and this is the big climax since basically issue 1, its gonna be pretty big I imagine. The end of one big X-Men event leading right into the next one, in the same week no less!
X-Men Second Coming #1 - [dcbs] The Preview book for this series was odd, but interesting. I hope this event goes well. Its set to wrap up the whole concept of the Hope character that has been building for almost 2 years now. Hope it pays off, and it all start here.
